My snowy season was starting to look like a very sunny season. Too bad snow and sun don't go together that well for a long time. But just when snow was needed and just before Bjorn Simons was on his way back to Flachauwinkl fresh snow started falling again!
Even if the sun doesn't shine, there is nothing that can lift our spirits like the first real powder of the season! Shredding powder together with Bjorn turned out to be riding like two complete idiots. Bjorn managed to get a pole somewhere and together with him and a friend we did some tricks and jumps. Im not sure what was the better work out: the boarding or the laughing!
Later that week Kezin Vuylsteke heard about the fresh snow and could not be stopped heading down to Flachauwinkl as well! By then the sun managed to get through and we had our first blue bird powder session.
Since avalance risks were pretty sketchy up untill today we had to be carefull where to go. One good thing about spending a season in the mountains is knowing where to go on days like these! Lucky for us I found a nice smooth untracked piece of powder! Best run of the season so far! Hoping for more of these to come!
Kezin obviously had been practicing his "hamer and nail" skills at home because he beat us at the bar when we were having a drink that night. But his girlfriend was still better then him.
Oh and some more happy news! I've recieved my new awesome Lib Tech board! Loving the new design and can't wait test it soon!
